Assistants For The Day
Ushers
Ushers are required at a wedding to assist the best man to ensure the day goes smoothly.
The ushers should show guests to their seats both at the ceremony and the
reception, hand out service sheets, ensure that after the service, guests know how to get to the reception and that everyone has transport.
Most weddings have between two and four ushers.
The Chief Bridesmaid
The Chief Bridesmaid should assist the bride to get dressed before leaving for
the ceremony.
She may also need to help the other bridesmaids and in
conjunction with them
look after very young bridesmaids and pages if there are any.
She will hold the bride’s bouquet during the service and subsequently
assist the bride in changing into her going-away outfit.
